Zomba is our beautiful brindle boy!! Always eager to please. A cute, friendly, glowing brindle male in full bloom! He knows his worth and struts his stuff, as soon as he gets his chance. Loves attention and always wants to be petted. He’ll stand still beside you for hours, just to be scratched and petted. He loves food and will do anything for it. He can do numerous tricks and is a funny basenji. He’s our little basenji clown. He’s successfully completed 2 obedience courses and one agility course. He’s a very obedient dog, that won’t wander far away from us. He’s a family dog that needs us as much as we need him. Loves cuddling up to us on the couch and on the bed, but doesn’t like sitting in a cage. And he definitely does not like when I trim his claws! He can get feisty at times and those are one of them.

He can get feisty over food as well. When it comes to food, he’s the boss around here. "Tindra, watch out!" He’s a lap dog and a little rascal that loves to run free. I have him running free beside me in most of our walks in the forest. He even chased a deer the other day and actually came to me when I called him!! That’s what I call obedience!! He loves the agility course and the lure-coursing field, but would rather be with his mommy, me. He does very well in the show ring, as long as he can do it his way. Knows what he wants and can rap anyone around his finger/claw. He’s a real charmer. All he has to do is look at you and you melt. He has such a soft way about him and loves kids! Isn’t quiet as patient as his best buddy Tindra is, but loves to play rough! He loves playing “hide and go seek” with anyone that will take the time to play with him. That’s his favorite game and he always finds you, where ever you might hide. He’s tireless. Zomba loves playing with other dogs and is a friendly male basenji with most dogs, but watch out if you’re another basenji male!

Favorite hobbies: playing, eating and snatching socks, stuffed animals..whatever he can find, so that we chase him. He loves playing with bolls. Eating underwear, clean or dirty.
